A note from Bill Westervelt (September 30, 2009):
This morning, my colleague, partner and friend, Fred White, passed away. His wife, Jan Bertozzi, and family have been by his side for the last 14 months as he battled brain cancer. Fred was 58.
Fred and I have been partners for 18 years and building First Annapolis along with others was a great time and experience.
He was a bright and unique individual and I still laugh at all the memories of the characters, personalities and situations we navigated. Fred had the ability to take complex problems and find simple solutions. He taught me a lot.
As I reflect on Fred and the life lessons we shared, I have one observation: My life and my family's lives have been better because we knew Fred White. I guess, if just one person says that about you, then life has been fulfilled.
I will miss Fred.
In Friendship, Bill Westervelt
