Ashby Point Capital has a minority, non-controlling investment in SVM, a gift card specialist, assisting national and regional retailers in growing gift card sales, reducing expenses, and minimizing burdens and risks.   Founded in 1997 by Marshall Reavis, CEO, SVM has been a leader in gift card management and marketing for over 10 years.  They specialize in closed-loop fuel cards, non-fuel closed-loop cards sold as gifts, non-fuel closed-loop cards sold as business and consumer sales incentives, and open-loop cards sold as consumer and business incentives.  SVM has the capabilities to serve as a third party gift card issuer for retailers.  For B2B buyers they serve as a “one stop shop” with access to over 90 brands of gift cards, as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover incentive and promotional cards.

Ashby Point Capital has a minority, non-controlling investment in Shanghai Harvest Network Technology Co. Ltd. (“Shanghai Harvest”).  Bill and Jim are also special advisors to the Board.  Shanghai Harvest is the leading distributor and technology innovator of mobile pre-paid cards in Shanghai, China with an estimated 24% market share. With its payment network, Shanghai Harvest is currently executing plans to regionally expand outside of Shanghai in Guangdong, Shandong, and Jiangsu to become the national industry leader.  Shanghai Harvest’s three year profitable operating history, partnerships with all major Chinese telecommunications companies (China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom), high profit margins and low capital investment allows the Company to expand its brand nationally. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China is the largest mobile market in the world with 556 million users and is growing rapidly, achieving 18.9% growth in 2007.  Additionally, Shanghai Harvest’s base infrastructure and established distribution network allows them to expand and develop other pre-paid card products within the gaming, supermarket and stored value card industries.
